Women of St. Philip’s (WOSP)
Episcopal Church Woman’s Prayer
“Almighty God, we pray that You will bless our work in mission and ministry in the world. Help us to pray fervently, labor diligently and give liberally to make known the power of your love given through your Son Jesus Christ. Let us not forget the lessons of the past nor fear the challenges of the future. Anoint us with your grace and shine in our hearts as we reflect your light throughout the world. Amen.”
This Ministry offers a variety of opportunities for fellowship and service, which is open to all women in the parish.
Subgroups include:
· Craft Group: This group meets every Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in Wyatt Hall to create items for sales at various festivals and bazaars throughout the year.
· Funeral Receptions: Members of the parish help provide light refreshments following funeral services at the church. Volunteers who are willing to donate items are always welcome. This group is looking for parishioners who are willing to provide food or help as needed.
· Quilters: The quilters group meets on the first and second Monday of each month at Noon to work on quilts used for fundraising raffles. Join the quilters in Wyatt Hall to perfect your stitch, teach us some new techniques, or just learn how to quilt. Also have some fun and help while supporting the mission of the church.
